Monk is a thirteen-year-old hypochondriac boy, his sister Joni a rebellious teenager, his mother Maria a flamboyant Spanish woman, and his father Fabian an artist struggling with himself. When the family unexpectedly has to travel to Spain to bid farewell to Maria’s sick brother, it strains the relationships among them.
